Inside Zetta · Quality management
Quality isn't luck. It's a system.
Zetta’s quality management system is certified to ISO 9001. Here is what that system actually covers, how we measure whether it is working, and who keeps it honest.

ISO 9001 is the version you can check. It is the international standard for quality management systems, and it is certified by an independent auditor who has no reason to be generous about it.
Zetta’s quality management system is certified to that standard. This is what sits behind it, because the badge on its own tells you very little.
What ISO 9001 actually asks of you
More than a compliance framework, ISO 9001 is a structured way of running a business: know the risks to the work, define how the work is done, measure whether it came out the way it was meant to, and act on the answer.
In practice it asks four things of us, over and over:
- Understand what could go wrong, before it does.
- Define how work actually runs, rather than how we imagine it runs.
- Measure the result against what we said we would deliver.
- Improve it, and be able to show the improvement.
An auditor tests all of it. If the evidence is not there, the certificate is not either.
Where the system actually reaches
This is the part people assume is narrower than it is. Our quality management system is not a folder that the sales team looks at once a year. It underpins the whole delivery chain, end to end.
Sales and solution design
How an opportunity is qualified, scoped and priced, and how the solution gets reviewed before it is ever proposed.
Project delivery
How a project is planned, staged, handed over and closed out, with the checkpoints written down rather than assumed.
Managed services
How the day to day work runs: response targets, escalation, change control and the records that prove all three.
Ongoing support
How issues are handled after go-live, and how feedback from that work travels back into the process that caused it.
How quality gets measured
A management system that is not measured is just paperwork. Ours gives us a framework for measuring three things against our strategic objectives.
Those measures feed a loop: feedback, performance monitoring, then improvement initiatives that come back around as a change to how we work. That loop is the actual product of ISO 9001. The certificate is just the receipt for it.
Makayla runs it
Systems like this need an owner, and ours is Makayla, our Quality Manager.
Makayla leads the strategic oversight, governance and continual improvement of the quality management system. That covers the unglamorous half of quality as well as the visible half: keeping the documented processes matched to how teams genuinely work, running the internal audits, chasing the corrective actions to a close, and putting the results in front of leadership often enough that they are acted on rather than filed.
"Quality is not something you bolt on at the end. It is decided in how the work is set up, long before anyone delivers anything."
Makayla, Quality Manager
The two certificates work together
Zetta holds ISO 9001 for quality and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security. They are separate standards, but they run on the same underlying habits: documented process, measured performance, evidence you can produce on request, and a review cycle that has teeth.
The security side of that story is how we got to ISO 27001, including the two years of work behind it.
What this means if you work with us
Consistency you can point at
The same process runs whoever picks up the work, and the record of it exists whether or not anyone asks to see it.
Easier procurement
If a tender, an insurer or a board asks for evidence of an IT partner’s quality system, the certificate answers it directly.
Feedback that goes somewhere
Complaints and survey results are inputs to the system, not just a report. If something went wrong, the process that allowed it gets looked at.
Improvement as a habit
Continual improvement is a requirement of the standard, so it happens on a schedule rather than when someone remembers.
None of this makes us immune to a bad week. It does mean a bad week gets investigated, written up and turned into a change, instead of being absorbed and repeated.
